It’s been a busy couple of months with working on books and planning events for the remainder of the year.
Speaking of the latter – I have recently joined Authors Aloud UK – a membership organisation specialising in arranging author, illustrator, poet and storyteller visits to schools, libraries and other venues in the UK. If you haven’t heard of them or the fantastic work they do, check them out and also take a look at my profile on their website, where you can find out more about making a booking.
In other news, Sky Thieves will be making an appearance at this year’s Derby Festival and I’ve been invited to speak at the upcoming Taster Event at Repton School this Tuesday. I’ll be appearing alongside Jo Jakeman and Catharine Arnold and meeting with the local community. There are still a few tickets available and you can register here for free: http://www.derbybookfestival.co.uk/whats-on/derby-book-festival-taster-event/.
Following the Taster Event, (and also as part of the Derby Book Festival,) I’ll be appearing at Waterstones Derby on Saturday 2nd June, where I’ll be doing a reading from "Sky Thieves" and "Desert Thieves". More on this here: http://www.derbybookfestival.co.uk/whats-on/dan-walker/.
That’s all from me for now. Have a good bank holiday weekend everyone!
Ciao!
